Exhibitions | NYC, November 2016

Below are snapshots of my pick from the November exhibition in different neighborhoods of New York, from Chelsea to the Upper East Side.

Iván Navarro "MuteParade" at PaulKasmin

-Duchamp's spirals from "Anémic Cinéma" on view at "Impasse Ronsin" exhibition at Paul Kasmin.

In Duchamp iconic film (1926) spiral shaped rotolreliefs optical devices were alternated to puns:
(BenGay was invented in France by Dr. Jules Bengué)

Street artist Futura 2000

Finally a quick visit to Future-Shock curated by Nemo Librizzi and "produced" by Andy Valmorbida and PM Tenore- the first New York solo exhibition of Futura 2000 in over a decade. The same space, the vacant 560 Washington, provoked a deja vu of Outtara Watts exhibition in January; graffiti art comeback mingling with fashion models...The Times They Are a-Changin' in reverse...
