11.04.2020 | A Journal of Resilience in COVID19: Spring Is Still Here

Spring day in Riverside Park, Saturday April 11
The pandemic continues; as of today the US has the highest number of confirmed cases (over 532940 at time of writing, Saturday night April 11) with deaths surpassing 20,000. The NY Times today published an article titled "He Could Have Seen What Was Coming: Behind Trump’s Failure on the Virus."

Ironically, Easter will be tomorrow: it is my favorite holiday, the celebration of spring and rebirth of nature. In New York nature still celebrates spring. Today I have been walking over 4 miles throughout Riverside Park and Central Park. alway keeping social distancing while practicing social awareness.

I am still dealing with unsettling personal issues, as PTSD related to a brutal divorce, recovering from domestic abuse. Yet I am grateful for being healthy, so far, while still enjoying life.

MAKING MOVING HEALING at Maker Faire European Edition | Rome, December 1 - 3

'making moving healing' is a built structure and psychosomatic practice, where the human body moves to draw ephemeral geometric forms evolving in space and time. The body drawings are guided by the geometry of the built physical elements. The beauty of mathematics inspires moving meditations, promoting physical alignment and mental focus. The project is inspired by my experience of survivor of bullying; meditating and moving according to geometry promoted physical and mental empowerment.

practice | dual body patterns in the 'ico-fit'

On March 15 the 'ico-fit', formerly known as 'movement infrastructure' has been used as framework for a practice performed by two movers. Two movement sequences were performed. One practice was based on 'Finding the Axis Mundi', a flow of movement based on a vocabulary of yoga asanas.

The other movement practice was inspired by the geometry of the structure, in the sequence Octahedron in the Icosahedron. Each mover performed movement in rotational symmetry connecting arms and legs to the midpoints of the edges.

"Making Moves" at New York Maker Faire 2016

Initially the 'Movement Infrastructure' has been placed outdoor the Great Hall of the Queens Hall of Science. It was quite chilly to perform. The icosahedron was sitting on a face inspiring different geometric movements. The hexagonal pavement and the building skin pattern were also defining a geometric of movement configurations.
