There was no major sun-moon spectacle in Geelong, nevertheless I documented the sun path at sunrise (in Waurn Ponds), noon and sunset (Waurn Ponds).

Art Fairs | New York, Pulse Preview

I asked David to take a few pics from the Pulse preview, just to get again into the "art and culture" landscape, before this blog becomes a palm tree portraiture. The photos show the usual NY art fair commercial mishmash, some more interesting than the typical gimmicks found in commercial art, yet good energy and...

New York, New York I miss you so much!

camminando | Palm Trees, a Pier and a Tall Ship

In Geelong a warm mid-fall day still offers me the opportunity for a healing walk along the Waterfront.

After recording the noon shadow of the usual palm tree, I encounter a replica of the majestic 1830 tall ship Enterprize: the tall ship sailed from Tasmania with the first white settlers that founded the city of Melbourne.

 C'est moi on board

And some public art always frames the beauty of nature in the urban environment.

And a view from above of the Cunningham Pier with the western light:

Toward a Second Winter...Endurance

As I am approaching a second winter in less than six month, I force myself to find some "consolation" in the celebrated Nietzsche aphorism from the late notebooks "what does not kill us makes us stronger". But I am not sure if this endurance test in finding myself estranged from my usual life and important relationship, with a purpose very hard to understand at this point is making me stronger. But I am continuing with my work, keeping a positive attitude.

A blue sky and palm trees do not give a sense of winter

The noon shadow of the palm tree gets longer

It is fall again as the foliage shows
