Displacements | New York - Beijing - Geelong
So far, in spite of the 48 hours of door to door travel from my home in New York to including transfers between subway, flights, layover in the Beijing airport, bus and taxis, my artwork and myself made it safely to my usual 'monastic' accommodation at the Kitchener house of the Geelong Hospital, I am exhausted (no sleep during the flights) but calm and feel that here I can find peace of mind to work.

vernissages | NYC, April 5-9
Among unseasonably cold or warm weather spring has arrived in New York and the majority of trees are not in full bloom yet. Nevertheless walking to vernissages is always a pleasant activity bringing peacefulness and enjoyment. Below are my picks of the week, with a preference for geometric explorations:

camminando | Waiting for Winter Storm Juno
New York is expecting perhaps the most powerful snow blizzard on record, named Juno. All the public transportation, including the subway system will be suspended starting 11pm tonight; 6000 flights have been cancelled.
Below a few memories of probably my last walk in Central Park for at least one-two days. The snow is still white and soft. I enjoy my solitary walk in a deserted park.

camminando | Night Snow
Today we (in New York) witnessed one of the first snowstorm of the season. There was not too much drama, just a cold grey day and finally a quick enjoyment of the softness of the light patina on the tree laces. It was comforting after the troubling news of the day.
