Thoughts | Spirals: the Geometry of Communities

I often find comfort and reassurance in thinking of the world in terms of geometry: mountains are shaped as fractals, water bodies derive from combinations of sine and cosine functions, meteorological events become equations of fluid dynamics, and distances between places are straight lines or spherical arcs. Where we are in space and time is a four-dimensional event, defined by three spatial coordinates, with time as the fourth more
